TRV Capacitors are connected phase‑to‑earth and installed near high‑voltage circuit breakers, either in parallel with the bushing on dead tank designs, integrated inside the breaker, or as freestanding units located close to the terminals. Their purpose is to limit the Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV) and the Rate of Rise of Recovery Voltage (RRRV) during interruption, reducing electrical stress in the critical post‑current‑zero interval. Designed as a circuit‑breaker sub‑component, our TRV capacitors are engineered to the breaker specification for AIS dead tank and GIS applications, in accordance with IEC 62146‑2.
